main cover feedback - first draft

creation of my front cover, step by step.

Diary of photo shoot

Before going out and taking our photos for the front cover of our magazine our teacher gave us advice on what sort of photos would look best, and how to take them.
We then set out in a group of 5 with one camera and took several photos which we thought would look good on our front covers. However, these photos were not up to standard and would not work for a front cover. The reasons for these mistakes where for the simple fact that most of the photos taken were landscape where as the magazine cover would be portrait. Also in some of the photos there were more than one person in it, which would also not work for a front cover. We studied them and looked at where and why we went wrong. We then got another chance to go out and take some more photos. These photos definitely improved and we therefore could use some of these for the front cover if our magazine. The background was clear and the model was in a good posed position with only them in the picture, this meant the focus would be on just that person with no distractions in the background.

these are my three bad photo annotations that did not work for the front cover of my magazine.

this is the photo i used for my magazine cover, fully annotated.
